Absolutely fabulous tour! We saw eagles, seals, porpoises and a beautiful lighthouse. Staff is fantastic. Incredibly informative, helpful, fun and friendly. Very Covid safe. Plenty of room to distance and masks required indoors. There are bathrooms and a snack bar on board and a heated indoor section if it’s too cold on top. Highly recommend!
DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS GREAT TOUR!!! We had the best time on this tour. It was really cold but we had hot chocolate and coffee and the best narrator anybody could ask for. Bill was really funny and he had so much information about everything. He pointed out all the wild life to everybody and had the best stories. He maneuvered thru out the ship the whole time and you could just see how much he loved his job. I so could see the teacher in him. I'm sure he was a great one and now the Acadian has Bill to teach us about this great nature tour. We truly enjoyed ourselves and hope to do another tour with him present. We were lucky to catch this tour ,since it was their last week.
Recently went on the coastal scenic tour. Boat was clean and the team took good precautions for social distancing and covid related policies. The guide was informative and entertaining. A great way to see the coast of Maine and get out on the ocean.
I hope everyone gets to read this. I cannot speak much about the boat ride because we never ended up boarding it. They sent us a ticket with all sorts of instructions except the boarding time and the place of boarding. The way it was organized was very unprofessional and it seems like the people working there don’t talk to each other. The ticket (email sent to us) asked us to be at 119 Eden at 5:15 PM. We got there just in time and we even informed them that we would be getting there exactly at that location at 5:15. When we got there (it was a parking lot), no one was there and when we went to the help desk, he had no idea If the boat had left or not and he couldn’t even coordinate with his crew about it. He simply pointed to a bunch of motels and asked us to head towards the harbor. The signs to get to the harbor are not even visible and after 10 minutes of struggling to locate it, there was a small sign at one of the docking stations “boarding will be 10/15 minutes before departure time”. Everyone reading this should keep this in mind that the time mentioned is the departure time and not the boarding time. I don’t understand how a company runs like this without basic instructions of meet up location or boarding location or the times for either. The first person at the harbor was very rude and wouldn’t even turn to respond to our questions but the second guy we called out to was polite. Later when we called the lady on the office line, she simply said “we’ve turned away dozens of customers in the past for the same reason and it’s common sense to get there 20 minutes prior”. She gave us an example of taking a flight and I argued how that example works against her because they clearly mention timings for everything. The company should simply add a line to help themselves and the customers rather than turn away dozens of customers as she stated and then say I cannot refund nor reschedule and will simply eat your 70$ with no shame or regret.
Wonderful tour! Sean, Eli, and Ester were an awesome crew! Smaller number of passengers due to COVID-19 so make sure you book ahead of time. Lots of fun and everyone caught multiple fish. Great for everyone, kids and families included! Saw tons of wildlife: different fish, eagles, porpoises, seals, looms, and more. I would recommend the 4:30pm trip as you can see the sunset as well. Worth every penny!
