We stopped here during one of our visits to Acadia. It was o.k., but it was my least favorite place in all of Acadia. There were a lot of plants, so I suppose if you're into that sort of thing, you may enjoy it more than I did.nThere was a nice, plank/boarded walkway allowing for an easy stroll through the woods. There was a gift shop or something there, but it was closed, so I don't know if that would have improved my experience here or not. Overall, not bad, but there are many other things to do that are more suited for my taste.
This place is incredible! Easily my favorite place to visit in the whole park. Beautifully manicured garden, and everything here is native and usually labelled. Turned out to be very helpful to have pics of many of the plants from the gardens as we did some hiking in the park. I can't wait to visit again.
A great place to learn the flora of Acadia. Flowers, plants and trees are in the 13 appropriate habitats that can be found throughout the park. All labeled and some with QR codes to learn event more. Great children's activities and knowledgeable staff. In the park but managed by a mighty group of volunteers on the Wild Gardens of Acadia committee and made possible by Friends of Acadia.
Nice place with the natural wild flowers of Maine. It is kinda short, so most people are do e with the walk in about 15 to 30 minutes.
Quite a small garden, we looked at many plants and read the signs and such but still took us under 1h. Most people just walk through... so, I suppose it can take even shorter. I have learn many different types of ferns there. Nicely cared for and there is a pretty, very flat marsh walk just by it. Though, be prepared. A lot of mosquitoes!!! We also saw two deers on that walk.
