I take advantage of the YMCA reciprocity benefit here. The staff are always friendly and the facility is clean and pleasant to be in. Although I stick to the pool they do offer a variety of other classes. The pool can get a bit crowded in the early morning but the swimmers are always willing share a lane.
I had a membership last summer while working in Bar Harbor for the season. Phoebe was always friendly and welcoming at the counter. Weight training room is a little small but i nonetheless loved working out there.
I really like this YMCA! The staff are always helpful and there is plenty to do here. The classes are great with really awesome instructors.
This YMCA is much smaller than the one in my hometown, but they use the space wisely. There is a heated lap pool, fitness room, indoor track and gymnasium. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The equipment and all other areas are clean. I've never had any serious problems waiting to use anything because it was too crowded. Only downside, hours are not as long as I'm use too, and fees a bit higher.
Top notch facility. We enjoyed the pool during a rainy day on our camping trip at Acadia. There was also an amazing local farmers market one day in their parking lot.
