This is a cute little local park, and the reason it gets 4 stars and not five is probably that it's just a cute little green space. I also visited in the winter, so I imagine it looks a lot nicer with everything in bloom! That being said the size is about the area of a complete city block, has nicely maintained paths, and places to sit down.

This review concerns Lilacia Park's winter light display.nnComing from an enthusiast of the Morton Arboretum Illumination event, this park was pretty good! Lilacia Park has a wide range of lights on display, which will take about half an hour to walk through. There are no admission lines or costs, but that also means the crowds can vary.nnMy girl and I had a splendid time and got some neat pictures. We will definitely consider coming again.

Be aware - first off, no where on this parks website, (that I could find), did it say NO Dogs allowed, so I had taken my best fur friend on a 35 minute ride to go check out what is supposed to be one of ten botanical gardens in the state of Illinois.nSecond, there are signs everywhere near this park that say no parking, will be towed....from the church and library parking lot right across the street from the park, to the parking spaces at the train station on the other side of the park.nIn fact, it looks like the best way to get here is to take the train if you don't want the hassle of parking blocks away and walking.nSince I couldn't go into the park, due to my four legged friend, we opted to walk the neighborhood block around the park.nDoing this it's approximately .62 miles to make the circle. You can only see the park from two sides walking the block, but you can also see the little girl statue on one side of the small library, plus some beautiful houses along the way.nThere was also a statue in the parking lot of what I think was a church/school, close to the train tracks.nI'm sure this is probably a nice little park once the flowers start to bloom, and I've heard they have a nice Christmas lights display each winter, but if you are looking for a good walk to really streach your legs, go to another Botanical garden that allows your dog.

Went here for the Holiday Lights and we were not disappointed. There are so many lights in such a small space. It was fun identifying all of the different shapes. Toy soldiers, an elf driving a sports car, swans and of course Santa Claus!

Had a wonderful time visiting the Christmas lights. They were very beautiful and vibrant!!! Definitely suggest you take the family for an evening stroll! You'll thank me later!
