So much fun to see how bricks are made. What a surprise! They gave each family a brick!

The missionary guides answered our questions and gave a great idea on how much work had to be done to get the saints a decent home.

The grands loved this - and we all learned much from this tour. The guide was personable, entertaining, and very well-versed in brick making. I learned a lot! And enjoyed every minute of it... ☺ufe0f

There's a reason that the Brick Yard is one of the classic experiences of Old Nauvoo. A short history lesson and demonstration about how bricks are made and how they factored in to the economy, architecture, and archaeology of Nauvoo is surprisingly fascinating and gives insight into the people and history of the area.

Love the cool give -awy bricks. A very good process of building and stacking. Really interesting.
