Nauvoo Historic District

History was never my favorite subject when I was in school, but places like this somehow bring it to life. Walking in the footsteps of people that used to be just footnotes in a book helps me develop a feel for how they lived and the struggles they may have faced. (FYI... You don’t need to be a follower to appreciate what happened here)

What a great experience for me and the family. Folks were kind and the preservation of the old homes is top notch. The history of the Church and the Legacy of its members is also masterly preserved.

A reverent feeling permeates this place. A wonderful place to learn about the early settlers , wonderfully represented, and restored.

Wonderful place to learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.I would highly recommend visiting.

We saw the pageant, went to many of the workshops and really enjoyed our visit. This is a special place to be. The visitor center performances are also well worth your time to attend.
