The Meat King

I’m loving what the new owners have done with the location. The moment I walk into the store it smells much better. You can see the cleanliness throughout the store. They go out of their way to make sure you find what your looking for. The prices have changed, but considering we are in the middle of a pandemic and everything everywhere has gone up I still think their prices are very good. They have brought in new products into the store that service the community. They have done an amazing job in the short period of time that they have been in this location.

I miss the old store, prices seem a lot higher and the to go food is not the same. They advertised grilled chicken breast in their flyer and had none? I’m going to wait and see what the North Haven store has when it opens.

I remember going to the Mohawk meat market on state street with my mom as a child in the 60’s, and then to Ferraros as an adult , I hadn’t been there since they have changed to Meat king, so I went there today.nI was very disappointed, the quality of meat and definitely the great pricing of Ferraros is not there.nI did buy some steaks though to try and that’s where I realized that I wasted my time and money.nFerraros steaks were always tender and flavorful,nThese pricey steaks were definitely not the qualitynI was used to .nThanks but no thanks, I won’t be back.

When it was Ferraros I could call and speak to someone about meat deals for the day and now “ONLY THE MANAGER” can give prices out over the phone. They say they're the same as Ferraros but it isn't by FAR
