Wurst Haus

2.5 stars. They get points for the atmosphere, the pretzels and their accompanying dips and the fries. Beyond that this is not authentic German food nor is it exceptional.nnDrinks took forever and a day to come out and the cocktail volumes left a lot to be desired for. Cocktails are generally pricey at any restaurant but most places make the volume worth the money. I'm wishing I took pictures at this point to display the schnitzel and goulash but unfortunately I didn't. The schnitzel was not crispy as it should be but rather wet/soggy, and the goulash proportion was laughable. My wife thought it was a side when they brought it out. And where were the vegetables? There should be chunks of pepper and onion and potatoes but all that was there were a few chunks of short rib, some broth, and a couple of mushrooms. I would complain about beer prices but they're the same at every German restaurant- pretty standard German imports for local craft beer prices. Next time I want German I'll either make it myself or head back to East Side

So great! This place made me feel like I was hanging out in Berlin with friends! Cucumber salad is awesome. All the food is great! I will definitely be back!

We didn't realize the restaurant had only just opened when we came to visit, and were blown away by the assortment of options. The manager stopped by and recommended the wurst sampler since it was our first time at a German restaurant, and was nice enough to bring us a few tastes of beer! Great service, phenomenal food. Will definitely be back!!nnFried camembert is to die for!!

Went in on second day of opening and had a great time! Love the beer selection and the food was top notch. Staff is friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back soon!

New German fare restaurant in West Hartford with an awesome German beer selection and nice ambiance.nJalapeño Cheddar Bratwurst as well as the pickled cabbage was very good, the schnitzel was a little soggy but the flavor was excellent. Will definitely be back!
