Traveling home from our beach vacation needing a lunch spot, we found this little gem. First of all, don't let the outside fool you. There are are letters missing from the sign and really, the place looks like an abandoned gas station. I had to go ahead of my wife just to see if the business was really open. The food was good, place was clean and all the employees were welcoming. It was a Saturday and the offers were only sandwiches, so, unfortunately, we missed out on the meat and three offered Mondays through Fridays.
The place in Athens for Good down home food.nThe servers are friendly.nThe prices reasonable.nThe restaurant is clean.nThey serve pinto beans almost daily; you have got to try them with onions and cornbread!
I love this place great people work here. The food is good, the western omelet and the other menu items are priced under what they should be.

Eagles diner is an excellent place for a good home cooked meals. It is family owned and operated. Every bit of love and care goes into each and every meal prepared. I love their food and would highly recommend this place to anyone for good home cooked food.
