The presentation of the food was excellent. Unfortunately the flavor wasn't anything special. The salads were decent. My grouper tasted.....old maybe? Even my asparagus wasn't fresh. The grits were okay. My fiance said his steak wasn't good. My fiance's son ordered the walleye and it was actually VERY good, so we ate off his plate LOL! We all should have ordered that dish - everything in it was incredibly good, the fish, the feta salad, all of it. We may try Criolla again some other time. Perhaps it was just an off night. :(
The building leaves a little bit to be desired but the food is out of site. The menu changes every week and he just writes it on the chalk board. I've seen steak, lamb, crab, snapper, trigger fish... All kinds of good stuff to eat. Most entrees are priced in the mid $20 range. You won't want to skip out on the appetizer though. It's easy to spend about $50 / person after the tip. It's a place that's worth going out of the way for!
Wonderful food and dining experience. The she crab soup is amazing and the crab cakes will melt in your mouth. Our filet was cooked to perfection and delicious. Wonderful chef and servers all the way around. Don't let these guys hurt for business because we need a good gulf seafood restaurant.
Great service, great employees, great manager, great food, my family favorite place to eat around us, highly recommend this place!
