It's been years since I've eaten here. Was craving Chicken Fried Chicken. It comes with a side..either mashed potatos and corn, or french fries or onion rings. The thing that makes it so tough to decide on the sides is that they are all very delicious!! Onion rings are very delicious, so are the French fries and they are thick and very tasty, plus you can dip it in the gravy oh, and it also comes with a thick homemade buttermilk biscuit. So delicious!!! Monterrey Cafe has been around for many years and the food is very delicious and service is great!! Sorry I don't have a photo but I was too anxious to dig in.

We waited 10 minutes to be seated, another 20 or more minutes so our waiter could come and get out drinks. To top it off they didn't even know who our waiter was going to be. We find a hair in our food and for it to be COLD! NEVER AGAIN!!

Just the salad, it was brought with the main course. It would have been nice to have it served before. But the food was delicious!!!!

Fries were greasy and undercooked. They brought a second batch but were still partially raw. Wait staff was polite and told the manager about the food but she did absolutely nothing about it. Didn't offer an apology nor did she try to make it right in any way. Never going back!! Beans had way too much bacon in them. Tacos were greasy too. Fajita meat was the only thing on my plate that were good. Didn't enjoy my meal. Again, would not recommend to anyone and will never return!! 2 stars are for wait staff because they were the only ones who tried to do right by us!! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN MANAGEMENT!!

I have only had breakfast. I have enjoyed Barbacoa plate, Machacado & egg plate, Pancake plate. Good portions. All very good. Friendly staff. Currently, limited seating due to social distancing.
