It was once a nice little airport, where a lot of folks learned to fly, kids got rides, and people had jobs. Sad circumstances caused it to be abandoned, a precious thing lost for ever.nSo when you walk there, remember, you're walking on the bones of what was once a field of dreams, for people who loved what they did. If you find yourself studying the sky on your walk, maybe you're just heeding the spirit of the aviators who flew there, as they whisper in your ear tales of blue skies clear as crystal, bright white clouds, and soft breezes in golden sunshine.
We love taking the kids down to the old airport to ride bikes and take hikes!
Perfect place for a walk or bike ride to practice social distancing!
