The pharmacist has hung up on me and refused to contact my dr. For a new script ..my dr is asking they contact them called 4 times to be hung up on placed on hold for 40 min refusing to reach out ..horrible I need to switch this place is so bad ..floating pharmacist so disrespectful

Brief story:nMy son suffers from a seizure disorder which requires a simple well known maintenance medicine to keep the seizures in check. We were starting to run low and we hadn't received the usual text notification that a refill was waiting. Assuming that this was simply a technical glitch I went to the CVS drive-through and was told that my insurance wouldn't approve my sons medicine for 11 more days. After contacting our insurance provider we hit an absolute brick wall of incompetence, as is typical with the backwards thousand mile long bureaucratic ladder that separates medicine from the people who need it in this country. In desperation I grabbed the 2 day supply of medicine I had left fully intending to unload on the pharmacist and insist they that they explain to me how to make a 2 day supply last 11 days or if I was expected to let my 4 year old die. Not because I blamed the pharmacist, or at least not any more than any other cog in the wheel of our foolish healthcare system, but because within this foolish system which is designed solely to remove any remnant of humanity from the field of caring for the health of our fellow human beings the only link in this dysfunctional chain that most of we peasants get to interact with is the poor pharmacist. But then I met pharmacist April Kalinga who in 15 minutes identified the problem, resolved it, and had me on my way with the life sustaining medicine that my son needed. Ms Kalinga, you are a f...ing ROCK STAR! Thank yo so much from the bottom of my heart!
