Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse

I’d like to start off by saying that most food is okay or good- few things are great. Somehow this single restaurant has PERFECTED multiple dishes that were difficult to process in real time. I’m still not sure how we stumbled upon this little peace of heaven that proved to possibly be my highlight for this entire vacation. Visiting the area my husband and I asked our server Rachel for her recommendations and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint. The calamari was crisp and unique while honoring the true essence of the ingredients. My 16 hour braised short ribs melted with the touch of my fork while laying on a bed of perfectly seasoned and whipped mashed potatoes beautifully paired with wilted greens. My husband had 2 different pasta dishes which I chuckled at this idea at first only to realize upon tasting them that he would have missed out on a wonderful option had he only ordered one large option. If you’re a skeptic of gnocchi like myself because so many places get it wrong do yourself a favor and order it here. They are made fresh, soft, cloud like really, andnthe mushroom truffle butter sauce brings depth without drowning out the lightness of this pasta. Being pregnant I ordered the virgin Bloody Mary and never once missed the alcohol. I wish I could give this restaurant and Rachel more than 5 stars because everything was truly beyond all expectations. At the end of our meal I told my husband that he can book tickets to any Pats game he wants if I get to eat here. We had to take 2 planes to get here and let me tell I’d travel that any day knowing this is what will be waiting.

Incredible place. Rachel, our server, highlighted several options. In the end we decided to go with what she suggested and could not have been happier. The short ribs and mashed potatoes were unbelievably good, the gnocchi and mushrooms were 100% delicious with those potatoes so light and airy they were like eating clouds, and the pasta with meat sauce was so good.

Excellent experience during Covid 2020. Food, atmosphere, service, drinks and dessert -- all top notch! This gem of a restaurant has always been right in our backyard, but we don't visit as much as we should. Our November date night was exactly what we needed. Good vibes with no rush. Freddy was an awesome server and the food was great. Wine was not at proper temperature but I am seeing that in most restaurants. Wine list is incredible though!
