Bland, unseasoned food. Small servings. Incredibly overpriced.
I guess if you order online, be aware that they’ll probably get it wrong. I’ve eaten at this restaurant before and there’s a cherry soda that’s amazing, but the last couple times I’ve ordered it (online), I didn’t get the cherry soda. I got a sparkling water with cherry flavor. I’m not sure what the deal is, but it’s kinda pissing me off.nnEDIT:nI called customer service after this experience and they told me “looks like the delivery driver picked up the wrong drink when they went to the restaurant to pick up your order” and he gave me a $5 coupon. Well, I decided to use the coupon today, and I STILL got the wrong drink. This is the last time I order anything from modern market. I’ve been a server before, I’ve worked in several restaurants, so I know how business can be sometimes, but the same mistake should not be happening this many times with the same customer. For this, I’m dropping my 3 star rating to 1 star. I don’t think it’s the delivery driver’s fault.
Ordered 2 'bowls' ~ Buddha bowl and Mediterranean bowl. The tofu in the buddha bowl was delicious, you can actually taste the soy flavour! Peanut sauce was just enough so not swimming in liquid as some places do theirs. Beef in the Mediterranean bowl is nicely medium and comes with cauliflower rice. Don't really taste the chimichuri but the dill yogurt sauce was flavourful enough we didn't miss it.nnWould want to return to try the other things in the menu. Actually feel really good after eating them.
My friends love this place, but it was my first time here. I actually got to experience the saying, “an attractive plate makes for a tastier meal.” The food not only looked appealing, but also tasted great. If you’re starving I’d recommend sizing up to the big plate as it’ll fulfill your cravings.
Love the food!! It's always so fresh and they come up with some of the yummiest combinations! My favorite salad right now is the Wintergreen Salad!
