Mystical land, sacred land.. Cherokee National Forest is a must see - from me who has been to many places (50 states). Sitting at an AT trailhead at the end of Watagu Lake, TN. Sun setting over the mountains and the lake.. Beautiful. End of Rick's post.
Very beautiful place!! I would highly recommend taking the family for a visit..
Favorite place to hike! It's close by, tons of trails of varying levels. Choices between loops, out and backs, scenic mountain views, waterfalls and so much more. Be sure to know where you're going you won't have a lot of service in the mountains. Most places ask for a two dollar parking fee so bring cash!
The roads were in good shape and the weather was as beautiful as the view.
Best Trout fishing area around and great hunting , as well...
