My experience with Delaware county sheriff office is nothing but positive. We live in a area that’s very rough on the edges and I feel as though they have always been there. I wanted to thank the sheriff that did a dog check in our community to make sure our dogs where in and takin cart of. You know who you are and I’m so thankful for you guys!

I am a farmer. People break in my home 2 times. Third times in my shed took all my tools. Keep steal my diesel until now and still going on. I reported but they cannot do anything about it. All they told me is so hard to do. There is different between so hard to do and don't do anything. When thief comes in your property of course they prepare. They might have gun at least knife . If I accidentally killed that thief turn around I get in trouble. The cops don't help or don't want to help. I am a regular hardworking person. I really don't know what to do. I don't want to hurt no body or have anyone in trouble. And besides that I don't want lost anything that I put my hard work to have it. If I was the cops I would try harder than I thought to make this world a better place. Because I choice it. Meaning I have to like it before I choice my caree . I don't do excuses. This country is a land of opportunities if I cannot have the job i like or something i like to do I am not deserved to have that opportunity. I am wasting the opportunity. Thank you

Filed a complaint about a woman that shot our small beagle for NO reason. He was backing away from her. No response, they just closed the case.

Put my best friend in jail because of someone else’s charges, then that person got let go and my friend is still there awaiting two life sentences for charges that don’t even pertain to her. They would rather put someone who was changing their life in jail instead of giving them a program and going for people that are actual criminals. This place is crazy. They have 106 inmates when capacity is 88 and keep adding more. They get two small pieces of bologna, two pieces of bread and 4 chips most the time. Some people don’t even have mats, blankets or towels and have to sleep on the concrete floor. If you have a heart problem or need to get checked out they wait weeks to get you in. Someone needs to make changes here.

My son went to court yesterday and he was five or ten minutes late because we got behind a tractor that was moving pretty slow and with traffic we couldn't get around it so the judge issued a bench warrant for him and locked him up and now he has to stay in there all weekend this is just wrong he was there so he should not be in jail he is not a well man he has problems but as far as the staff at the sheriff's dept.They were all nice and respectable
