Great place to relax and take in some awesome views of Great Blue Hill and the Boston skyline.
Signal Hill, on the Canton/Westwood/Norwood MA borders. 2 minutes from Westwood Station and University Ave., this Trustees of the Reservation property is a great little find. Easy to get to off University Ave and Canton St., there’s a 10 car parking lot, easy canoe/kayak access to the Neponset River, and a nice view from the top of the hill of the Blue Hills and distant downtown Boston. Good spot for a picnic; and a quick day trip with small kids. It’s a Trustees property, so there’s some signage and trails are unmarked but easy to find. Dog rules apply, but off leash by the honor system . It’s remote, with no services. The trail is traversable for folks with mobility issues, but the hill is not. Try it out, go and take a (small) hike ! J
