Van Hook Glade Campground

Perfect breath of fresh air. The campsite is organized so each area has ample privacy. The showers have warm water and there are picnic tables around. There are many activities to do in the area: gem mining, fishing, swimming and hiking to name a few. Gorgeous scenery on the way up and back. Majestic mountains and forest all over. The lady who worked for the campsite was very welcoming and kind. A lost of places in the area, including the campsite, are dog friendly.

This was a great spot to camping. It does rain all the time so be ready. Great hiking close by and river access right across the street. Be sure when you book a site online you read each link, some sites have stairs. Any site over $24 is a day use only site. There are 8 first come sites that do not show on .gov. They have hot showers and clean bathrooms.nnThe wild life and plants are amazing. Always cooler up that high then anything around. Be sure to check out Whiteside trail while your there.

The hostess was friendly and helpful. There are trails and a small lake. Pet friendly. We loved it.

Quiet and small. For only having about 20 (?) sites, there's still a well maintained bathhouse. Nice falls within minutes.
