My grandmother was born and raised in Kinston, N.C. Her parents left her land, which she paid taxes on until her death in 1997. I spoke with her children and no one wanted to be bothered, so I her 1st granddaughter took over with paying the taxes. I JUST GOT A LETTER STATING THE TAXES HAVE NOT BEEN PAID SINCE 2009 - - WHAT? NEXT I GGET A POST CARD CONCERNING A ROAD PROJECT WHICH WOULD INVOLVE USING/TAKING HER LAND - - HUM. SOMETHING FISHY IS GOING ON? I THINK I NEED A LAWYER. ANY PRO-BONO REFERRALS.
