We saw a car that fit our needs at Carmax. We were hesitant to use a big name car sales place, but family members said they had multiple good experiences so we went ahead on that recommendation.nnWe do not regret our decision. Trading in our old car was simple and straight forward. Buying our new car was simple and straight forward. What more could you ask for?nnNOTE: We found our car before engaging with a sales associate so can't speak to their ability in helping you find a car. We also didn't finance so cannot speak to that either.

Another disappointing experience. Carmax, giving used car dealers the bad name they deserve. My wife and I made it clear that before we made the ninety mile drive to buy the car, we wanted a done deal and were willing to provide whatever they needed in advance. They said that wasn’t necessary and of course it didn’t go through. Was it our credit that was the problem? No. Was it something we did? No. They didn’t like my pay stub which was absolutely verifiable and fine. My wife makes far more than I do and enough to have it approved on her own. So, I don’t know if these people had a personal problem, didn’t like the color of our skin or what? This kid, Owen and the financial rep were absolutely condescending as if it were my wife’s fault or mine. We offered whatever they wanted before we made the drive. Terrible people. They made us put insurance on the vehicle the day before we even left western mass but god forbid they hold up their end of the deal. People, just fine somewhere else. These people are hack used car salesman, the lowest of the low. Scummy, used car salesman.

Sold my 2003 Toyota Camry to CarMax, Norwood and couldn't be happier with the experience. Very efficient and friendly process. Received a very fair offer in about 20 minutes which I accepted and 15 minutes later I left with payment in hand. We will be selling another car soon and CarMax is where we will be going. I would recommend them to anybody looking to sell there car.

I sold my 2011 Chrysler 300 to Carmax. It was so quick and easy. Pulled in for an appraisal and had a written offer within 20 minutes. Came back the following week and was in and out with a check in under 30 minutes. They paid off the balance of my loan and I didn’t have to deal with listing it, scheduling test drives, and negotiations. Great experience.

Good price, good people. That said, I was told I would receive my registration in 1-2 days. It took over a week. I had to call my insurance company several times to get it done it myself. My agent spoke directly to the Carmax rep and faxed the appropriate papers. In the end we found that she was given a wrong number. I called several times to find out what was happening and was told to call my insurance company. I expected someone take some initiative to find out why those papers were not there, rather they put the onus on me.
