Lake Powhatan Campground

Great experience. It was a pleasant, well-kept campground. I would definitely go again!

This is a great place, it has access to some of the most visited mountain bike and hiking trail systems in the Asheville, NC area. Camper parking is on an asphalt pad with good clean shore power connections. Make sure you have plenty of leveling devices because the asphalt pads are not level. Camp host where great and maintained the park very well. The only thing I can post as negative is the Verizon cell service here was almost non existent some text messages would make it through even while using a cell booster.

Tons of spots. Good distance apart. Staff is amazing. Will definitely be back.

We really liked this campground. The bathouse was clean. We were camping in winter, so there weren't many people around.

Camping with the remnants of hurricane Delta hanging out was challenging. But even in the rain, Lake Powhatan was beautiful. Best of all was taking a few days away from the pandemic and political ads!nnWe'll definitely be going back when the weather and political climate are more agreeable.
