Great place for the family to go to. They have a swimming area which does cost but not much. The camp sites can either be used for tents or campers. It is very calm around the area & there is always a guard riding around checking things out.
It was a beautiful day with family! The beach and water was mostly clean. If I took a star off, it would be for lack of soap or toilet paper in the public bathroom. I've been going here for years with my family and loving it. White, sandy, man-made beach.
Beautiful campground and well maintained.
Always fun, everyone is very friendly and polite while on the water. We always find a little beach and splash around but also pull a tube. People are good about not riding in your wake which is my pet peeve in case a rider falls off. There is enough turbulence to be fun but not so much your seasick when you don't want to play. Crow's Nest gas station is about 10mins away and has most easily forgotten things you will need, such as a small propane tank for a grill.
My family and I went on the 4th of July. And nothing was posted about the swimming area was closed until we got there. Wasted trip from Ripley MS.
