I would not recommend this gym. We found the owner, Scott, to be unkind and unprofessional with some serious communication problems. If your child is one of their top performing gymnasts they will get individualized attention and you, as a parent, will likely get a warmer than average welcome. The more likely outcome will be that you will be ignored and valued as a tuition payment only.nAfter witnessing the growing pains of opening this new gym and our daughter feeling less comfortable within this new environment and losing an interest in competing, we decided to leave. We were off-sides on this because we had already made a payment to them for the competition season's leo and pullover. After 4 months of asking for what we had ordered or to be reimbursed, we have received neither. We know of at least one other family who has been treated in the same way.nAlthough we were unsatisfied with Mid America when we left, we wished them the best and we were open to one day possibly returning if our daughter wanted to down the road. After how unprofessionally we have been treated since leaving, we will never return and we will advise all that we know within the Fenton community to choose the other gyms around for their children. You may be able to get by for a while at this gym but eventually there will be an issue that you will need to discuss with Scott and he will be slow to respond and when you get a response, you will be left wanting. Ultimately, Scott and his head coach, did not foster a vibe within the gym that was warm or welcoming for our family and they seemed to be making up ways of extracting more and more money from the families. We had a sneaking suspicion that there were better options out there and since leaving we have found out that we were right.

Incredibly unprofessional owner and select coaches. Not all. Owner actually stands out back and smokes in between spotting girls on the bars! Unbelievable! I voiced safety and other concerns for my daughter multiple times and was completely ignored. Like not even a text or email back. Blows my mind this is how his business is run!nPlease find another gym with coaches who don’t play favorites, call you when/if your child is injured, and have some type of basic communication skills and professionalism.

When my daughter was recovering from an injury I was encouraged by Scott to just get her cleared by the doctor and get back practicing so she would be ready for the first meet of the season. This interaction with the owner Scott made me feel unsupported and made me question whether he had my daughter's best interest in mind.nAnd breaking news! This gym was formed in large part in a strong-armed, swindling fashion, breaking off from another gym. Overall, our experience was one of a lack of communication. I could tell several stories here on how we felt unheard, disconnected and unsupported. Instead, I will just say beware.
