I can’t believe this place has a Hindu goddess mural up as a white woman with blonde hair during these times! This is the definition of white washed. I’m almost finished with my 200 hr teacher training, and as a future yoga teacher this is very disappointing to see. Wise up Coolidge Yoga!
Love this yoga studio! There is a good variety of classes and great teachers. It can get crowded but the classes are worth it.
This is one of the best yoga studios I've been to. Two years ago, when I lived in Allston I had a membership here and would go five times a week, and was never disappointed. They have a wide range of teachers and class types that I was always able to find what I needed for that day. I've since moved out of the area and often find myself missing access to this place. If you have the opportunity I highly recommend taking a class with either Laura or Tiffany!
This is a fabulous yoga studio with wonderful teachers who go the extra mile to ensure you get the most out of every class. I highly recommend taking classes with Tatyana Souza, Laura Ahrens and Emily Peterson.
They have a mural of Lakshmi, a *Hindu* goddess, painted as a white girl with blonde hair. Does no one in Brookline see a (racist whitewashing of culture and history) problem with this?
