Mcnew Electric

We used Mcnew Electric to install 3 security cameras on the outside of our home. Initially they sent a technician to come out and assess. Technician was friendly and cordial during his visit. We needed to decide about placement for 1 camera so had them come back out to start the next phase which was quote and work. In discussions with Jason I left a voice mail asking for a quote for the work and timing that technician would arrive. I did not receive a call back, later the next week the technician showed up with an assistant. Showed him where the last camera should be mounted and they began to work pulling wires for the connections etc. On one of the cameras there was not an easy way to get the electrical ran so he suggested we use some external conduit to make it look ok on the outside of the home, we agreed. So after all cameras were installed and functioning correctly the technician called their office to get guidance on the bill, came back to the door with a bill for over $1200 for the days work. I paid the bill in spite of thinking it was significantly more than I would have expected the charges to be. It was my fault to allow them to start work without a quote, but I did ask for one before the work started. Later the conduit they installed started coming off of the house because it was (Stick-on) and not screwed or hard-fastened to our home. My wife called Jason to have them come back and re-attach it as it is probably 23-25 feet in the air. They said they would come back out and never did. That was 4 weeks ago. She also called them about the bill, stating the charges were very high and the hours we were charged did not add up correctly, Jason said he might be able to get an hour taken off the bill but we never saw that or heard from him again. I hate to write this because I never write bad reviews, always tip even if the service is not great etc... but my experience with their company could have and should have been better. Again, the technicians were fine and did a good job, the issue is with the company and how they handle billing and service.

Chris was extremely unprofessional and did poor quality work. Would not hire him again.
