Your glitchy website and customer service are so abysmal I will no longer even shop in your stores. I will not support a company who cares so little for their customers.nDuring a recent sale an $88 item was supposed to be 50% off, but there was a glitch that was charging me $62. Despite trying for over an hour I couldn’t get ahold of a live customer service representative. I finally gave up and sent an email and eventually received a curt (arguably rude) response stating the terms of the sale with no acknowledgment of my complaint. I responded for a second time, once again providing the simple math to show I was being overcharged by $18. I eventually received another slightly less curt response acknowledging the mistake but without any hint of apology. I understand mistakes get made, but once one is brought to your attention it should be handled immediately and with courtesy. I have been a loyal customer with Splendid for many years at their brick-and-mortar store in my hometown. They have long been a staple for me, but the quality of the materials they use has declined over time so I’ve been shopping with them less and less, opting for natural fabrics which are more pleasant to wear, easier to launder and last longer. I do not understand why people spend their hard earned money on acrylic and polyester. Many higher-end designers are moving towards natural, sustainable, higher quality, more durable fabrics for countless reasons. The fact that Splendid has moved in the direction of cheaper, disposable clothing makers like H & M and Forever 21 is so disappointing. To add insult to injury I received a mystery partial refund a full six days after placing my order - I’m guessing an item was out of stock, but I’m just guessing because there was no communication from Splendid at all, however upon investigation I can see an item I purchased is not on my shipping invoice. I’ll find out for sure in five days when my order arrives, thirteen days after I placed it. Is this for real?!?! How are you a successful business?
