Amazing place if you are into really old MD historic sites. This garrison, dating from early 1690s, was used as a barracks/fort by MD Rangers as a buffer between civilization and frontier. Reportedly open one day annually with re-enactment on Sunday before Thanksgiving. You would hardly recognize this as frontier location as a residential area has grown up all around the fort. Commander's house next door still exists, and includes later additions creating a fine, historic, private home.
