Wollaston

The new Wollaston station is absolutely beautiful. Huge parking lot - worth the wait. Even better: it opens both on Woodbine Street and Newport Ave, which means you can cut through the station to get across Newport Ave without having to pay a toll.

Been using this station since 1971. Love the redesign. New stairs and wheelchair ramp on the Newport Ave side are a blessing. Old stairs were steep, exposed to elements and a NIGHTMARE in winter. 3 elevators were added. Now has multiple fare gates and stairways to access the platform. Public restrooms also added. Only complaint is gravel 'landscaping' in the lot. I understand why it's used but stumbling on gravel sucks. The walkways are always strewn with it. Has to be a better solution.

Nice Red Line station. They do have public restrooms that are usually clean and unoccupied.

Finally it's open again, and from the photos it looks like an architectural marvel. Can't wait to go check it out at some point over the next few months!
