Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist

Such an amazing Cathedral in the heart of Downtown Lafayette! The historic Live Oak, the Cathedral Center and Museum, the impressive cemetery, the new church hall, the grounds, the stained glass and statuary, the organ. I could go on and on, but you've got to just experience it for yourself. The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, where all are welcome and the welcome is obvious.

What can I say but beautiful in every way.! Every time I go to Lafayette to see my daughter this is one of my go-to weekend places for Mass. Even if you're not Catholic is a beautiful building to step inside and admire. What a way to say hello and welcome to Lafayette!

We only got to see the outside because it was closed the day we went so the floors could be redone. Wish that had been better advertised before we drove all the way there to see it.

Adoration every Friday during Lent after mass. Plenty of details to look at and be inspired by. Beautiful place to pray.

What a beautiful place to visit, the church is outstanding! And also you get to see a 500 years old tree very often.
