Wowza. Talk about the prime example of Southern Down Home Cooking, Big Momma's is it. The smell of yumminess hits you as you approach the door. 15 people waiting online patiently with stomachs growling as the Cafeteria Style Hot Plate line crept forward. I hated that I couldn't have one of each. I opted for Liver and Onions with Gravy and Rice. Corn and red beans. Dont forget the Hot Water Cornbread. Everything was great and I am looking forward to my next culinary adventure there.
The food was delicious. The ribs where so tender just needed some seasoning. There was nothing I didn't like from either plate.
Great food and great people. Hungry in Monroe? Come on down.
No complaints with the food. My favorite day to eat there is Friday because that's ribs and fried chicken day. Their ribs are to die for, in my opinion. Their rolls are pretty nice, too
Saw on the internet rated highly on Trip advisor, confirmed by a friend. A daily changing meat and 3. First time going today. I had country fried steak with rice and gravy, green beans and yams.
