This is my second or third trip I’ve made to Habacu’s since I’ve been living in Minden. Finding a Mexican place that has both good chips & salsa and great food is hard to do. I don’t know why, but it just seems most don’t hit the mark.nnWalking into Habacu’s gives you the feeling of walking into a smoky pool room. After being seated they bring you not just chips & salsa but chips & 2 kinds of salsa plus pork rinds. They are already 2 steps ahead of their competitors. I love having multiple salsas to choose from. Their red is better than most in town and the light colored one is very unique. I don’t have a clue what it is. It’s not strong flavored and it’s not very spicy but it makes a nice addition to the start of the meal.nnSo far I’ve mostly tried enchiladas and they have been fantastic. This round I went with the Chicken Sour Cream Enchiladas and they were great. The rice and beans are solid but don’t really stand out in any way.nnMy waitress was super friendly and made recommendations for me.nnSo when it comes to the ultimate question, “Would I go back?” The answer is yes! I have and I will. Next time I plan on trying something different to get a better feel for what else is on the menu.

Earthy, low key environment and solid service! I ordered the fajita nacho plate. The meat was extremely tender and well seasoned and came with sour cream, guacamole, and diced tomatoes all in separate containers. Top notch food! I'll definitely be making this short drive again!

Atmosphere, the food and drinks, and servers are all amazing! First time experience was wonderful. We were very pleased!

Friendly service with fun decor. Located in Minden, it will be definitely worth the drive for a taste of delicious Mexican cuisine. Bring your appetite because the portion size will fill you up. You can pick from a several page menu which includes the lunch specials. On your way out, enjoy a free soft serve ice cream cone.
