Used to enjoy the Grouper sandwich in prior years. After arriving this year I was excited to get a Grouper sandwich. It was terrible. Oily and tasted old. Choked down a few bites and left it on my plate. Place used to be mobbed. We went on a Saturday night and there was no wait and empty tables. What a shame. Won't be back anytime soon. Do yourself a favor and go to Doug's it's less than a mile away and their Grouper is delicious!

Really good food! Large portions—always enough for two meals—and variety. When you don’t feel like cooking or spending money, this is the way to go. Got a big salad, sub fish for chicken. Perfectly done. Fresh veggies.

Delicious food, bloody Marys, and great service! The little things didn't go unnoticed-- our taco stand was heated up so the tacos stayed warm and when we asked for an extra plate, we saw our server heating it up. Thank you for a great meal!

Loved it. Great fast service. Clean and stylish restaurant. Amazing diner food. My party ordered Chicken parmesan, Turkey dinner, the American idol which is a cheeseburger, fries, onion rings and a shake and I ordered the fish and chips on Good Friday. The turkey came with granny Smith apple stuffing (that was really good. The burger was cooked perfectly and was Juicy and delicious the fish was crispy Add the chicken parmesan had a good flavour all around everyone was happy with their food the shakes were thick and delicious.

Very delicious hamburgers! My grandparents retired and moved down here in the late 80s and the San Carlos Park location was one of the first places they took us out to eat at. Ice cream was delicious as well. Mel's is my favorite place in Southwest Florida to eat.
