Place was hit by hurricane 4 years ago. Still a lot of damage. Park doesn't have a working laundry and no WiFi where we were. Which was a big problem if you work remote. Host was extremely nice. Price a little high for what we got. Low area that hold water when it rains. New owners is working on some of these issues. Maybe next year things will be better. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
I went to this place based off of the website picture.nUpon arrival I was super disappointed. The place charged premium resort prices. I understand that a hurricane hit Mexico beach 2 years ago but nothing has been fixed since then. It is under new ownship. Everything that was described on the website was there.nNo pool, no tiki bar, not play ground, no laundry, no bathroom. The first thing I saw upon arrival was a dented Tahoe pulling a smashed trail blazer into the back of the park.nThe women in the office was rude and mean. No information was given to us regarding the park nor was there any employees in sight. They said the camp ground was under construction but no work was being done during our stay. We book for 4 night and stayed 2. See attached photos of trash and everything broken. There were campers that had been there since the beginning of time. Rotting to the ground. The only reason for one star is I can not give it a zero.
Stayed here in 2020 and was very disappointed...the ground is always a mess and when it rains u can't even get out your camper because of the water.. there is pot holes everywhere..it's a dump I'm sorry but hurricane Micheal was almost 3 years ago so it's no excuse and I also heard the owners are getting a devorce because the wife has a gambling problem so I guess that's where the money to fix the place is going.,what a shame I will never stay there again... honestly they need to shut that place down ugh....
I will start by saying this was one of the most difficult reviews for me to decide to write or not. They were hit with a cat 5 hurricane 2 years ago. So the town still has nothing. Not even a fuel station nearby. Now we did see a locally owned restaurant or 2 on the Google map. But if you need any last minute things you'd better get it before you arrive. My husband was able to find a small store (the size of a hotel room, small) & a liquor store next door. So thankfully finding a convenient store bottle of star bucks was not impossible. Now back to the park, you would think with the amenities out of service you would save some $, NOPE! Still just the same as a fully operational rv park. Their is water, sewer, electric hook ups, & a pool. But as of our stay that was about it. My husband did say they were supposed to be getting wifi & cable the week after we left. They are still working to improve. BUT hearing construction trucks & land clearing type equipment banging, beeping, & running all night was VERY ANNOYING (hence the need for star bucks coffee). This wasn't a little noisy either! It sounded like a dumpster getting hit with the one of machines running. ud83dude33 I only wanted to write this review for the purpose of preparing anyone else for what to expect. Bring earplugs if you need any sleep during your stay.
This is one of the more difficult reviews for me to write because the town was devastated by hurricane Michael and is still trying to recover. The park is under new management and is definitely working on improvements, but I am writing as of January 20, 2021. They have the electricity, water and sewer working. The pool is open. They have laid down some fresh gravel down the main strip but not everywhere. However, the cable is out. Wifi is too weak to use. Tiki room is closed. Propane can't be sold yet and they are no longer honoring Passport America. I believe they will have 4 stars by the Summer with the progress they are making.
