On 8-2-20 at about 12:30 pm I entered ExtraMile by Jackson (Chevron) to purchase a fountain drink. I was asked by the female (refused to give me her name) working the register if I had a mask. I said “no, I have a medical condition”. She said we can’t serve you without a mask. Thinking she didn’t hear me the first time, I repeated “I have a medical condition”. That’s them Adam spoke up saying he didn’t care and that this is private property and I have to leave the premises. I said having a medical condition exempts you from wearing a mask. He said no it doesn’t, it’s the law! I then asked for his name, he said Adam. I asked for his last name and he muffled something that sounded like Stoddard. I typed it into my phone. As I’m typing.... The cashier spoke up again arrogantly saying leave the premises. Then said leave the premises again. I looked up at her and I said I’ll be reporting them and filing a complaint. And walked out. Under Governor Hebert’s Utah order for Salt Lake County, persons with medical conditions preventing them from wearing a mask are exempt from the restrictions. You don’t need to explain why or what your medical conditions are. Furthermore, if you’re operating a store and enforcing something, you better know what you’re enforcing. I tried calling their corporate office but of course, being a Sunday they’re closed. I’ll be reaching out to a lawyer as well. Nobody should be treated like they aren’t human and in condescending tones because they have a medical condition.

Worse store I've ever been to. There's been a few times the workers were nice and treated me nicely. Until my last visit. I went in without a mask due to two health reasons 1. asthmatic (masks tend to trigger attacks due to feeling smothered) 2. I'm pregnant and already feel light headed without a mask. Right away I was barked at to get a mask or leave. I told them I did not wear them for medical reasons. They stated it was law. Nicely as I could I said its not a law but a suggestion from.our governor. They rudely told me to leave. I totally understand the right to refuse service but y'all gotta figure out how to be nice to people. Learn to be nice and just explain that you will refuse service. Y'all also need to learn the difference between laws and suggestions/mandates from the governor. If it was a law, people would get tickets and possibly arrested. That ain't happening. Also know that people with medical issues can prevent people wearing masks, unless y'all want them to pass out or something at your store and be held responsible be my guest. I would not recommend going here ever.

Due to Jackson Foods being the only place insisting on Petrie dishes on people's faces, I will now have my medical exemption.

This is literally the only gas station that I have been to here that can never seem to break a hundred dollar bill. Today I was told they will hold onto to my items if I want to walk over to the check cashing place. Like what? You are a gas station, you should have change. Not to mention a CONVENIENT store... Claire is amazing though, she is the only reason I even go there.

I've gone here many times for the convenience of the location but they are anything but a convenience store. Today was my last time there and I should have known better. I should have been reading the rest of the reviews. Do the night employees not do anything? Why is it so hard to get a cold energy drink on a hot morning? It's a disgrace to Chevrons everywhere.
