Wound up here by accident due to Skyline Drive being closed. An incredible and unique experience if you are looking for a leisurely hike or are traveling 64 and wanna stretch your legs. Much like touring a cavern, but free. Bring a headlamp unless you enjoy ambling through the dark like I do.
Fun hike. West entrance more challenging however it has more parking. Make sure you have a good flashlight.
What an awesome outdoor family activity... Gentle Grade and wide trail. Very historic and amazing engineering accomplishment. Thank you to all who made this happen including Claudius Crozet.
Very fun place to go for a hike. Well maintained trail and the history posts we're very interesting to read.
Super awesome walk, bring your flashlight and a little hoodie or sweater ! Can’t wait to come back! Everyone was distancing, inside the tunnel people wore their mask or stayed well distanced from you! Loved it!
