We are in Virginia specifically to review the wines. We visited 10 wineries in 3 days. Kilauren was the least pleasurable experience. My feelings have nothing to do with the service of how attractive the property is. My quibble is with the tasting. 1/2 oz of 5 wines for $5. A half oz isn't enough to judge the wine. I guess I could have ordered 2 tastings and combined each one for a 1 oz $10 tasting. I would consider that a fair price. In fact I would encourage the owners to adopt that model

We signed up for the Kilaurwen Winery boxwood wreath making and had a Blast! Doriene & Bob are the owners and they are the most sweet, personable and loving winery owners I have ever met. Our group of ladies drove from Richmond and were welcomed with open arms. They had many outdoor tables, a firepit and beautiful lights strung along the trees. Doriene had made us homemade mulled wine that was delicious. I had no idea how to make a wreath and they helped me make a masterpiece. Wine is delish. My favorites are Cab Franc and Fiesta for making Sangria. What a great winery to spend the day! We look forward to coming back and staying at their 2 bedroom Airbnb.

Spent the afternoon at the Wine and Vine Festival at Kilaurwen Winery. Good music. Great wine. Beautiful afternoon in October with family.

A friend and I stopped in on a beautiful Saturday hoping to do a tasting. There were 6 people at the bar in the process of a tasting when we walked in; no one spoke to us--didn't say hi or ask if we were interested in tasting or ANYTHING. I used the restroom. Came back out; still no one had greeted my friend. She used the restroom; the pourer still did not even look my way. The pourer was the only employee in evidence, but she could at least have given us an idea when and if there'd be a chance to taste. We left and spent our money at Reynard Florence a few miles down the road. I can say that the restroom was nice.
