This office will send you forms with explicit directions, that are apparently wrong, to set up various processes. Then when you call to find out what happened they say the forms are incomplete even though the forms were filled out exactly as their directions indicated.

Used the website to pay property taxes. 2 weeks later I received a certified letter stating I intended and had knowledge to defraud the county which was a felony. They charged $86.95 in fines on a 80.00 bill because they said my bank account did not exist. Went there to show them my checking account was active and had more than enough money to cover the taxes. They could not give me any information on what account number and what bank was charged. They told me I had to pay the taxes and fines in 5 days or they would charge me with a felony. I paid the taxes and fines despite no protection and no explanation. Wow, welcome to Virginia. The county treasury office has all the power, and we the people have to do what they say or else. Hard to believe this is America.
