Grand Opening DaynGood Luck to the new owners!nFood was excellent, the ambiance has changed for the better. Must stop to see that if you frequented the diner in the past.nIt's not Bob & Phyllis's but, it was good.

Great place for breakfast, one of my favorite. Food is delicious with many options and variety, along with fair prices and great customer service. Remembering names of many many customers, prompt service always moving. Recommended to anyone looking for place to eat. Serves breakfast and lunch at all times. Patient, kind, and nice staff. Love this place.

This is an outstanding place to get breakfast! They always have excellent staple breakfast foods as well as some creative options. I can eat some basic eggs and bacon, or go full on fat-boy and get something over-the-top. The french toast is really good here, I recommend that... or even a french toast sandwich or masonic home special... its all good. They use quality ingredients, have generous portions, and the prices are very good.

J&E’s Yankee Diner is pretty much exactly what you imagine when you hear someone suggest breakfast at an American Greasy Spoon Diner. It’s got one fry cook armed with a spatula and a tub of lard. One waitress armed with a fresh pot of coffee and ready to refill that half empty mug on your table. And a couple of booths and bar stools to sit yourself down in. That’s about it. And believe me, you’ll take that coffee refill with open arms because the brew is seriously tasty here, whatever brand it might be. My girlfriend and I stopped here for a quick bite before heading to Treehouse Brewery (which, I imagine, is the culprit for so many tourists coming up to this humble part of Massachusetts in the first place). We split one of each - the Breakfast Club which was a ham and egg sandwich a la Benedict and the diner’s version of a Monte Cristo that featured breakfast sausage, bacon, and eggs sandwiched between not two but THREE slices of French Toast (Texas style, so there was nothing French about ‘em)! We didn’t eat again for a good six hours after that. Service was quick and friendly, the bill was left on the table for whenever we were ready, and prices were more than fair. All in all it was a good start to a great day spent on the northeastern coast, where people tend to drink sugar with their coffee and not the other way around, and starting your day with a generous amount of calories is still the only way to start it. I’d come back up here on my next trip to the brewery, and I’d happily start another day with the diner’s colossal egg-bartered toast.
