Island Ono Loa Grill

They claim they are ranked the #8 cheeseburger in the US on Yelp. I had the bacon cheeseburger and thought it was top notch. Could really taste as difference in quality, especially with the meat and the bun. Juicy, flavorful meat charred nicely. Bun was soft and chewy. Got a side of fries with the volcano sauce. Didn’t love the sauce (was too spicy for me). My wife got the macadamia pesto goat cheese salad and she said she liked the flavor but that it got old. Would have been better as a side salad with something else. Would definitely go back for the burger.

First time to visit there today. Ordered Loco Moco to go. After waiting a few minutes, they told me there was a problem with the batch of rice that they’d just made and it would be a wait while they made another. They asked if I would take fries instead, as that would be quicker. Lucky me! It’s better with fries soaking up that gravy! Meal was delicious. I’ll definitely go back.

I've had burgers from a handful of places on The island. Their burger and rings are, by far, the best I have had here, 2nd on my top 5 U.S. burgers. They are juicy, full of flavor, the bun has great flavor and the sauce is delicious. The volcano burger paired great with the onion rings. I HIGHLY recommend. The chicken strips were better than any I have had here as well. The breading was crispy and delicious. The next thing which is just as important as good food, the workers were very friendly. I will definitely be eating here again.

We stopped in for sandwiches after a morning at the beach. Food was great! Fries were perfect (for my taste), burger was flavorful, kalua pork sandwich was on point, and best of all it didn't break the bank. The traditional Hawaiian lunch platters we saw coming out looked great too. We'll be back!

the bacon cheeseburger was grilled and seasoned perfectly! whatever magic you put on your handcut fries was spectacular! even the simple side salad was fresh and tasty. amazing lunch. 6/5 stars ud83eudd24
