This is just a nice place to have dinner. The building is really nicely renovated and feels very unique to the area. The windows are always clean (weird thing to notice, I know, but something that reflects pride and care in my mind).The bar is a warm and authentic focal point. The service is friendly and responsive. And the food is delicious. I enjoy trying the specials because they are often as artistic as they are tasty. Pork chops are really good. Just and all around great place.

This restaurant has its ups and downs. Overall with the way everyone talks so highly of this place and how expensive it is i expected more. I may give it another chance but I won't be rushing to go back.nnExperience: We ordered the Kalua pork spring rolls, Guava BBQ glazed baby back ribs, and the chicken and shrimp angel hair pasta. The spring rolls were the most delicious things Ive tried in a long time. The ribs were also delicious. The flavor and tenderness made you want more. With that being said... you did not get enough ribs for the price, even compared to other local restaurants. The pasta was just awful. It was the most bland pasta I've ever tasted. Even the shrimp and chicken had no flavor. Our waitress was horrible. Her attitude was semi-friendly but she wasn't very attentive. We had to wave to get her attention as she didn't check in with us at all. She also would take a long time coming back (I understand she probably had other tables) but we did see her just standing off to the side talking/ laughing with other waitresses a few times while we waited.

We ordered the Prime Rib to pick up. We have always enjoyed our meals dining in, but haven’t been out to restaurants since the pandemic. We decided to do the takeout for the prime rib special and it was perfect! We ordered it medium rare and it was exactly what we expected. We live a bit outside of town, so when we got home, I warmed up some plates in the oven, transferred the dinner to our plates and let them heat for about 5 minutes. We were impressed how everything held up and how delicious it was, you would never know it was “take out”. Well done Jackie! Wishing you all the best!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Hilo and went to this restaurant. I got the pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes and spinach, and he got the Ahi Tuna with Purple Potatoes and mushrooms. We also got the pork rolls. It was all very delicious. We would definitely come here again if we lived here or on our next visit.

Great place for a night out. Severs are very nice. They currently don’t have many vegetarian options, but food is amazing. I love the ponko coconut daily catch and risotto the best. The place used to be a bank, and there’s bank safe next to the kitchen - fun fact!
