Da Poke Shack

Absolutely awesome food. They have a wide variety of poke from spicy to sweet to everything in between. Great assortment of sides. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. There can be quite a line so don’t be surprised if there’s a 30 minute wait or more at times. They can sell out towards the end of the day of popular items but everything is delicious

We always send our friends here when we hear they are visiting the Big Island. Everyone loves it. We couldn't miss it on our return trip to the island this year, either. I personally ate there twice this time. Can't get enough of it. The entire family (seven of us) were very happy with our selections. Even our non-fish eater was super excited about what she ordered, the shredded pork plate. The poke is fresh, not frozen which sets it apart from almost all other poke places. Then there's the selection, wow! So many flavors/styles. The sides are amazing too. I can never decide so I end up getting a plate vs a bowl. It's not a bargain place but it's not over priced either. Great for getting to go or sitting out on their picnic tables outside. My one major suggestion, get there earlier in the day than later. Once they run out of an item, it's out for the day.

On my flight out here somebody was nice enough to write prime locations on a barf bag. Da Poke Shack was one of the recommendations. What else do you do when a location is written on a barf bag other than go there. Coming from a primo sushi and poke destination like Seattle, my bar is set high. This was easily the best poke I've ever had, hands down. Good God they have such a selection here. I definitely over ate and did so with zero regrets. If you come here you won't be disappointed. Price is a bit high, but you're paying for what you get. Would recommend to anyone with a taste for raw fish.

The food was good but customer service was poor. We arrived 45 min before closing and we were rushed through our entire order wasn’t allowed to ask questions. Basically had to order what was still available. Based on other reviews I wonder if they’re ever fully stocked

Extremely fresh poke selection. Select a “side” like seaweed salad, kimchee, etc. and then two pokes. I did the daily special and spicy sesame garlic. The daily special was sweet and spicy. Had never had anything like it. Be warned about the line. We showed up around 11:45 am and walked in to be second in line. Just after noon there were 15 or so groups in line wrapping back into the parking lot.
