Island of Hawaii YMCA

We sent our 6 year old for their summer program. We ended up pulling him out. They had a list of activities on a calendar and did not do much of what was advertised. Mostly they just put them in front of the T.V. When we dropped off and picked up our child the T.V. was on and blaring with kids in front of it like zombies. No staff person came out to greet our child. There were some young adults who were supervision but on their phones instead of engaging with the kids. Our child went to coconut island on a field trip and our friend was there by coincidence and said she saw that our son was not being watched and ended up watching him until the group left. Also, she overheard that they lost one of the students and were relieved when that student showed up. Poor supervision, no engagement, no education. Do not send your child here!

This is a great place to workout or do Zumba at. It has a great atmosphere, the people are nice, the staff is great!!

Am amazing place to work out. They don’t make you feel bad about yourself,and are so encouraging when you feel like you are struggling.

My ymca membership doesn't allow me to use the gym! That's ridiculous, I'm only allowed to do these lady exercise dance classes
