As a visitor from the mainland, I was totally impressed with the Hawaii Jiu Jitsu Academy. Professor Moku is a world champion. The quality of his instruction reflect the elite nature of his game. The academy is really clean, beautiful and welcoming. Anyone seeking to improve their game on the mats would love this place.

Hawaii Jiu Jitsu Academy is an amazing academy, they are very professionals, very organized, very clean! The academy is always spotless! The academy has a family feel. Is a great environment, that not only promotes and teach the art of Jiu Jitsu, but kind and respect for other, we LOVED the Academy!!

This is the nicest Jiu Jitsu academy I have been to anywhere. Professor Moku is a great instructor and the students are also very friendly and welcoming. Super clean, fun and safe environment for kids and adults. I love this gym!

My family and I recently visited the Big Island from Washington, and were warmly welcomed in as the first guests since the pandemic started. In both the adult and kids classes, not only did we receive world class instruction... but we also got to build new friendships... which was the highlight of our stay. We could tell right away that we were in good hands, as they made sure we'd had our negative Covid test results reviewed, provided temp checks and hand sanitizer for all participants, and made sure that the facility was clean and ready to go prior to each class. I could go on and on about all the great things we experienced, but the short of it is... whether you're looking to train, up your game, or surround yourself with some pretty amazing people... you should definitely check out the Hawaii Jiu Jitsu Academy!!! Professor Moku (Kumu) and Keala have made my Jiujitsu experience exceptional. They are very supportive of self betterment. They want you to succeed in you martial art endeavors and want you to be able to take what you learn through Jiujitsu and apply it throughout your life. They are also great with kids I can’t wait till my son is old enough. The lessons taught through Jiujitsu are so empowering for your mental and physical health. I have always been athletic but I had no experience in martial arts. As an adult starting something new can be difficult.
