We were in Hawaii for 3 months from November to feb. I found this CrossFit because it was closest to our hotel..I am so glad I did. Tammie and Arnold are super friendly people. Everyone at the gym made me feel welcome..I love that they had all the Covid precautions in place.. Tammie asked me to wait 2 weeks after arrival on island before joining the gym (even though we had a negative test prior to arrival).. that made me feel safe. I love the location of this gym and the camaraderie of the people here.. definitely recommended.. I’ll be going back on our next visit to the island.

I originally went here because it was the closest CrossFit to my hotel. I’m glad I did. All the coaches and box members were cool and helpful. They let me drop in for both classes and lifting on my own. They have all the equipment you need, and they offer early classes, so you can workout and still do touristy stuff before lunch. Also, if you can get there early, you can watch the sunrise over the ocean. 10/10 I’ll come back if I’m ever on the big island again.

Being a box owner, it’s always nice to drop-in to other affiliates. Arnold and Tammy are doing it right here. Great community and facility. Definitely stop in if you’re on the west side of the big island.

I have been doing CrossFit for 3 years and travel a lot. Thus, I have worked out at a lot of different boxes and would highly recommend this box, CrossFit Kawaihae. The coach/owner was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The community was very welcoming and the equipment was good. I tried another box in Kona the day before and pretty much felt ignored by the coach while there. So, while this box may be a bit further of a drive for some, its worth it.

Great CrossFit gym with friendly knowledgeable coaches. Very clean with decent equipment.
