I wanted to find a reliable local auto repair shop for my Volkswagen. Precise Auto had a good review and I tried them out for several repairs and regular service. Each time the service became more and more expensive. The last service was just an oil change that Ian claimed he could do quickly. But when I showed up he wanted me to leave and give him time to do the service. When I said I was happy to wait, he suddenly pulled my car in and found that the car had serious problems and could not be driven. I was left to walk home and the next day he informed me the car would need thousands of dollars in repairs. I trusted his advice and let him do the repairs. Afterwards, I suspected something was out of the norm and did some research. He charged twice what it would have cost me at the dealership and after inspecting the car it was clear he didn't actually perform any of the repairs. I feel so foolish for letting him con me and I have since performed all service I can myself. I am now a regular customer of AutoZone and will use reputable chains to do oil changes and other regular service going forward.

Had a great experience bringing my VW Jetta 2009 to Ian at Precise Auto in Woburn. He was responsive and informative over the phone. Was able to look at the car and diagnose the engine light problem right away. Did an amazing job on the repair and stayed in touch to let me know what the cost would be after looking at the car carefully. Some shops say they can work on VW/Audi/Porsche, Ian you can tell, really has some great experience with these cars. He also just doesn't replace parts, searching for a fix. He tests, validates the problem before replacing things. Very impressed with his skills. He also works on Mazda and Honda, so I'm bringing my girlfriends Mazda 3 who's engine light just came on. Nice to find someone who's passionate about their work.

Ian knows Volkswagens. Good pricing & expertise is why I only service my car here. At 175k miles my '06 Passat feels nothing like it's age. Highly recommended.
