Awesome food, Awesome prices, Awesome friendly service... I had the chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns and toast.... The best tasting chicken fried steak and eggs and the yummiest gravy I have ever had, and it am almost 50.... Had a bacon cheese burger and waffle fries...oh man, what an amazing lunch, the fry sauce is the best.... The staff was so friendly and the food came so quick, hot and fresh...nWe will go back EVERYTIME we visit Hood River from now on...

We ordered breakfast to find the chicken fried steak just not that good and a hair in my husbands order. When bringing it up to the server, they pointed out that it was an egg hair, yeah I know what those are and it was, but there was also a human hair embedded in there. The server proceeded to pick it off with his bare hand. They did offer to remake the dish, but we chose a refund. No we did not eat half of our breakfast and decided we wanted our money back. Wed barely had a few bites. They also only refunded the cost of breakfast, not the tip I signed for upon payment. I won't be returning soon. I understand Covid has us all a little disconcerted, but that doesn't need to change our customer service skills. And yes I also work in customer service.

I am disappointed. First of all, let me start off by saying I love going here and love the food. So apparently they close their indoor diner at 2pm, and my family and I walked in at 1:55. There was no one waiting for us so that we could order, and we waited for about 10 minutes. Finally an employee came out and said that they had closed 5 minutes ago and that we couldn’t eat in. We pointed out that we walked in at 1:55 and that it was their fault for not even acknowledging that we were there until now. The employee said that he was sorry and it was his fault, and then told us (very rudely) to either go through the drive thru or leave. I was very sad because my family was starving and the drive thru was extremely long. I hope they change their service in the future. I am giving it 2 stars because the food is usually very good.nn(Thank you for clarifying that you read the reviews! Greatly appreciate that you guys take customers input)
