Always a nice experience..you are checked at entrance for covid-19 symptoms by an always pleasant attendant. My dr. Is in this building along with my physical therapy department always a good experience. Also they now have an urgent care department on the ground floor that is a very welcome addition!

I met with Brian Scrivens DO in October for an issue in my right hand. Heis staff promptly made me feel welcome. Carrie greeted me with a smile that surpassed her well fitted mask shining through her eyes and she preformed her duties with excellent professionalism. Brandon, as well was all masked up and was very helpful with my questions and concerns. There were several other staff that I failed to memorize who was diligent in making sure I was comfortable and safe during my visit including a prompt X-ray that day.nnUpon meeting Brian Scrivens DO, I immediately could tell his attitude was stellar. An avid hockey fan I am not but he has decorated his exam rooms with personal touches that made the whole visit very welcoming. He examined my hand, empathized through my concerns and not once did he ever give off a vibe of a medical professional that didn't care. His genuine concern for the discomfort I had and his prompt solutions were perfect.nnPersonally I like a solution to a problem, not just a temporary fix by jamming pills into my life, and Brian was right on the money with how I wanted to proceed.nGranted there are lesser solutions but the issue would reoccur so when given a surgical option I could tell he was the perfect match.nnThe schedule was set the procedure was done, stitches are out and short of a 3 week reco ery I should be back to work soon.nMy most recent check-up was a determination of full or light duty release and it was decided light duty for 3 weeks should do the trick. He explained scar massage to me and even though I have had 3 prior surgeries on that hand alone, this was never explained by physicians out of this area. Thank you for that tidbit of advice as well.nThe who staff from the front desk all the way to the gentleman checking temperatures downstairs were courteous professional and yet understood that this isn't a large city atmosphere area but more of a down home community.nnI have lived here the majority of my life and never had any issue with any physicians I have needed from common colds to child birth and all points in between.nnThis was no different. The facility may be one of the newer in the region, but it still encompasses what I appreciate about the area.nnNot everyone has the same positive experiences and I understand each and every day may bring situations that even medical staff can have a rough time enduring.nnI would like to convey to anyone on either side of the counter who may read this, remember the staff are all human with human emotions and are allowed to have an off day, but it's not always like that. You don't have any more rights to be rude to them as they do to you. We hold our professionals to a higher standards but it's time we match that with our own.nnI can attest to the fact that if you start taking the aspect of personalism away and replacing it with cold hard professionalism, nothing will feel welcoming again.nnThank you again Waters Edge for your continued care for my community and the surrounding communities that come to you with our needs not just for a quick fix but ultimately a solid solution.
