Feels like your in the mountains. Dirt roads and campgrounds are a lil more spaced apart. But there is a noise orderance at 10pm there. Well if some sqare wants to complain bout it lol

North Fork park is honestly a very nice middle ground as far as camping goes. In saying that, I'm not referring to the quality of its establishments, rather expectations. If you're looking for somewhere to camp that's not way out in the boonies, but still has nice atmosphere and is far away enough from city lights to see stars, North fork park offers such a solution. Aside from the camping aspect, there are LOADS of other activities, like hiking, biking, etc. The different group sites with pavilions also offer great gathering places. It's a really great spot, honestly. Do keep in mind, especially for the group sites, there is a fee, but it's about as average as other parks of a similar caliber.

Lots of great spots up Coldwater canyon if you really want to be up in the tall trees and not camping right by other people. A small stream runs right past most camp sites. Ours had a little section for the kids to play in. Some of the spots are close to the road while others are deeper in with what feels like a private drive. we did the waterfall hike in late August, which was an adventure with a 5 year old and baby on my back but we all made it. Sadly the falls are low this time of year but still fun. Bathrooms are well spaced out. So many camping areas I'm sure we'll be back to try more.

Buck and Mitch were absolutely amazing hosts during our stay. We did run into a few issues completely out of their control. Look out for Karen's who will tell you that your in their campsite when the host specifically put us in the spot. The lady took up well over an hour of the hosts time, they had to call the bosses boss and had him explain how the rules work. Youre not handicap, nor are you entitled to a handicap spot, simply because you reserved the other sites close by. Great place, don't let entitled people ruin your stay. Buck and the rest of the hosts will make sure you enjoy ever minute here. Old Bowery road, handicap spot. Thanks again.
