East Canyon State Park

Beautiful!

I'm staying at a yurt in this state park, and it is beautiful, but it is annoying that the only open bathroom is a decent walk away from our cabin. yurt is nice and warm and the stars at night are mind-blowingly beautiful.

Awesome state park! They recently received the designation as a international dark sky park, which is an awesome feat. I stay at least once every summer, the camp host is awesome and the overall experience with the park staff is amazing. And if your looking for adventure hike the Mormon flat trail, if you need more information the park entrance gate staff are more than happy to assist and point you in he right direction.

The reservoir here is a nice experience. This lake is far less crowded than many similar locations and there's plenty of room for boating. The beach is quite rocky and muddy and you'll need to mind the wind. Overall a decent location for a day out.

Good place! Kind of narrow and smaller than other reservoirs I've been to. Has nice picnic tables with boweries for shade near the loading dock on the north side. Bathrooms were clean. There was a faucet next to the bathrooms which was nice to rinse our feet off. My mom and I paddle boarded and kayaked most of the time. There were not very many people or boats there even on the Friday of Labor Day weekend.
